When enrolling in swimming lessons, it is important that the swimmer is placed in a class that matches their current swimming ability and age. We use a combination of enrolment questions and ongoing assessment to ensure you or your child is enrolled in the most suitable level.
How Is the Swim Level Determined?During the booking process, our team will ask a series of questions about the swimmer's swimming experience, confidence in the water, and current skills. This information helps us recommend the most appropriate level for their initial enrolment.
Alternatively, you can complete our online Swim Level Assessment Tool prior to booking:
đ Online Swim Bright level assessment tool.
đ Do I Need an Assessment?A formal assessment is not usually required before starting lessons.
During the swimmer's first few lessons, our instructors will assess their skills and confidence in the water to ensure they are in the correct class for their ability and age.
đ What Happens If the Swimmer Is in the Wrong Level? If our instructors determine that the swimmer would benefit from moving to a different level, we will:
â
Discuss the recommendation with you
â
Explain the reason for the change
â
Assist with finding a more suitable class
Our goal is to ensure every swimmer feels confident, supported, and challenged at the right level.
