Do you have a Lost and Found? How does it work?

At Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre (NARC), we follow a structured process for managing lost property to ensure all items are collected, organised, and stored effectively. Here's how it works:

📅 Daily Collection
At the end of each day, our Duty Manager and Lifeguard team collect all lost property. These items are placed into designated baskets for each day of the week, located near the deep end of the 25m pool.

🛅 Lost Items on Premises
Any items discovered in lockers or elsewhere around the NARC premises will be placed in our Lost and Found.

How Long We Hold Lost Property
Items in Lost and Found will be kept for a maximum of 7 days. During this period, patrons can claim their belongings. After 7 days, unclaimed items will be donated to local charities or disposed of responsibly.

🗓️ Daily Baskets
Items are placed in the basket corresponding to the day they were found. The following day, the contents of the previous day's basket are transferred to our "Last Chance Box," offering one final opportunity for owners to reclaim their belongings.

♻️ Final Disposal
Once the "Last Chance Box" is full, any unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of after the 7-day holding period.

📝 Claiming Lost Items
To reclaim a lost item, patrons must provide a detailed description to help us identify it. NARC reserves the right to request proof of ownership before returning any lost items to ensure they are returned to the rightful owner.

By following this process, we ensure lost items are stored systematically and made available to their owners for a reasonable period.
