Concession Eligibility
We offer concession rates to ensure fair and equitable access to NARC's facilities. The following forms of identification are recognised as valid proof for concession or discount entry:
School Children – in uniform or with proof of enrolment
Government-issued Health Care Card
Government-issued Pension Card
Student Cards – valid and current with photo identification
Veterans Affairs Card
Government-issued Carers Card
Important:
We do not accept Seniors Cards as a valid form of concession at Northcote Aquatic Recreation Centre.
Proof of Concession Requirements:
Memberships: A valid concession card must be presented at the time of sign-up, or if signed up online, on your first visit to the centre.
Casual Visits: You must show your valid concession card each visit to receive the concession rate.
Guest Accounts: If you have a guest account, staff can record your concession details in your profile. You will still be required to reference your concession status each visit so it can be verified.
No Card Presented:
If a valid concession card is not presented, standard rates will apply. Concession rates cannot be applied retrospectively — for memberships and learn to swim accounts, if you do not present your concession card or advise us of your concession status at the time of sign-up (or on your first visit if joining online), you will not be entitled to any backdated credits or refunds. Your concession discount begins from the moment you provide proof of your valid concession card. Concession cards must be shown at the point of purchase or account setup to receive the discounted rate.
Spectator Fees
A $3.00 spectator fee is available for entry to the aquatic areas only.
Definition of a Spectator:
A spectator is any person who enters the aquatic area but does not participate in aquatic or related activities. Spectators do not engage in swimming, spa use, sauna use, sunbathing, or participation in aquatic programs.
School Carnival Attendance:
Family members attending a school carnival will be charged the $3.00 spectator fee unless the school has made prior arrangements and incorporated spectator entry costs into their booking. Any pre-arranged inclusions must be confirmed by the school and communicated to NARC staff before the event.
Swim Lesson Attendance:
Attending a swim lesson as a family member is always complimentary and does not incur a spectator fee.
If at any time a spectator wishes to utilise any facility — such as the pool, spa, sauna, or water play areas — they must purchase a standard casual visit pass at the applicable rate before participating.
