How does my child progress to the next swim level?

This category provides information about the progression of children in swim lessons and support for children with special needs. It includes guidance on moving to the next level and available options for personalised swimming programs.

Our dedicated Pool Deck Supervisor team, who you will see during lesson times, conducts assessments of Swim Bright participants every 6 to 9 weeks.

Participants are evaluated based on our level criteria, which vary slightly between levels. The assessment is ranked on a scale from 1 to 4:

1 – Introducing

2 – Recognisable

3 – Refine and Polish

4 – Skill Achieved

You can monitor your child’s progress through your Client Portal:

  • Navigate to the "Account" section, and select "Skills" to view the details.

You will find a drop-down menu at the top of the screen, allowing you to switch between the linked members on your account.  Here, you can view the progress and timeline of activities, the number of skills acquired at each level, and how many levels have been completed in the program.

Important Notes:

  • To advance to the next level, a student must achieve a 4/4 – "Skill Achieved" – in all the skills required for their current level.
  • You can request an assessment either prior to a class or during the class by speaking with our Pool Deck Supervising team.
