Swimming lesson breaks

This category outlines the policies around swimming lesson breaks, including planned breaks and how they might affect your child’s swim schedule. It ensures that members are informed about the timing and procedures for taking breaks from lessons.

The Northcote Swim Bright Program operates as a 48-week program, rather than by terms or semesters. This allows you to enrol or un-enrol at any point during the year.

Holiday Breaks:

Our scheduled holiday breaks are as follows:

  • 1st Week of the Term 2 Holidays 
  • 1st Week of the Term 3 Holidays 
  • 2 Weeks over the Christmas and New Year Period 

During the Term 2 and Term 3 holidays, we also offer a Holiday Program, which aligns with the week we take a break. Exact dates for these breaks and programs will be communicated to members once the school term dates are released.

What Happens to Payments?

Direct Debit payments will continue during our holiday breaks.  Your Swim Bright membership remains active, allowing you to use the centre for recreational or lap swimming. 

If you prefer, you can request a freeze on the participant’s membership during the holiday breaks, which will pause your payments. Please note that if you attend the centre while your membership is on freeze, you will need to pay a casual entry fee to use the aquatic facilities.
