In need of pausing your membership? ⏸️
We refer to this process as a membership “suspension” or “freeze” period. Below, you will find details regarding Membership Freezes and Swim Bright Freezes.
For Memberships
All memberships, except for Swim Bright (Learn to Swim), are eligible for an unlimited freeze at a cost of $2.50 per week. Freezes are available in minimum blocks of one-week periods.
Please note:
- You will not have access to the facility or its services while your membership is frozen.
- Members are not eligible for freeze periods during their 28-day Cancellation Notice.
- A freeze cannot be applied if there is a negative balance on your account.
- Retroactive freeze requests will not be actioned.
- For Paid in Advance (Fixed Term) memberships, freeze fees must be paid upfront for the entire requested freeze period.
Medical Suspensions:
- Medical suspensions may be applied at no cost for up to 3 months in cases of injury or incapacity.
- A valid medical certificate is required.
- Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre reserves the right to reject any medical suspension requests if deemed necessary.
How to Freeze Your Membership:

Log in to your Client Portal and set up a freeze:
- Go to > Contract Details.
- Under contracts, select > Active Contract.
- Choose > Freeze Contract.
- Select your freeze start date and end date.
- Confirm the reason for the freeze using the dropdown menu.
- Click > Confirm.
A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

For Swim Bright (Learn to Swim) Members
Swim Bright members are entitled to up to 4 weeks of complimentary freeze per calendar year. Freezes are available in minimum blocks of one-week periods.
Please note:
- You will not have access to aquatic areas or related services while your membership is frozen.
- A freeze cannot be applied if there is a negative balance on your account.
- Retroactive freeze requests will not be actioned.
- Swim Bright freezes are capped at 4 weeks per calendar year. Additional freeze options are not available.
